Tik Tok faces a legal challenge from former Children’s Commissioner in England Anne Longfield over how she collects and uses children’s data.
The lawsuit was filed by millions of children in the United Kingdom and the European Union, and the app is popular.
This claim is being initiated by all the children who started using Tik Tok from May 25, 2018.
“This case is false and we will fight it in court,” Tok said.
Petitioner’s lawyers allege that Tik Tok is collecting children’s personal information, including phone numbers, video, current location, and biometric data without warning and without the consent of the children and parents.
In response, the Video Sharing App states that privacy and information security are TikTock’s top priorities and that we have strong policies and technologies to help protect our customers, especially adolescents.
