Shangla: Funeral prayers were offered for 16 laborers who were exhumed from the mass grave.
The remains of 16 bodies were recovered from a mass grave during a rescue operation in Tor Chapar area of Kohat yesterday. All the bodies were shifted to Shangla and funeral prayers were offered today at the district headquarters Alpuri.
The funeral prayers were attended by Provincial Minister for Labor and Culture Shaukat Yousafzai, Provincial Minister for Minerals Arif Ahmadzai and PML-N Engineer Amir Muqam. On the occasion, Provincial Minister Shaukat Yousafzai announced that the heirs of the deceased would be covered under the package. Rs 26 lakh each will be given.
