Sialkot : District Monitoring Officer Sialkot issued show cause notice to Firdous Ashiq Awan for violating the code of conduct related to Daska elections.
A notice issued to Firdous Ashiq, Special Assistant to the Punjab Chief Minister for Information, said that he had announced a development package for the constituency at a press conference, which is a violation of the code of conduct.
Besides, the District Monitoring Officer has also issued a show cause notice to PML-Q leader Chaudhry Saleem Baryar stating that Saleem Baryar visited the constituency on April 9 and announced a development package of Rs 50 crore which was in line with the code of conduct. There is a violation.
Firdous Ashiq Awan and Saleem Bariar have been directed to file reply within 2 days.
