Lahore : The Punjab Health Department has said that corona vaccinators should contact the vaccination center themselves after 21 days if they do not receive a second dose.

In Punjab, vaccinators are complaining that they have not received a message from NADRA for a second dose.

After giving the first dose of Corona vaccine in Punjab, no card or certificate is being issued to the citizens by the health department even though a formal certificate is being issued in Sindh.
This card also contains the date of the second dose and in case of system malfunction, this card is helpful if the code for the second dose is not received from NADRA.

Even in a developed country like the UK, cards are being issued for the first dose of the vaccine.

Elderly people in Punjab say they have no evidence of being vaccinated, given the current epidemic situation and at this age they cannot go to the NADRA office and line up to get a card.

Officials of the Punjab Health Department say that according to the decision of the NCOC, a certificate can be obtained through NADRA after the second dose of the vaccine has been given. It is also under consideration that Cards should be given on the spot so that people do not have to go to NADRA office.

The health department also said that even if no message was received from NADRA, those taking the first dose of vaccination should reach the concerned centers for the second dose after 21 days.

On this, Punjab Health Minister Yasmeen Rashid said that those who were vaccinated against corona on March 10 should be vaccinated again on April 1 and senior citizens should go to the same center where the first dose was given for the second dose.

He further said that 126 Corona Vaccination Centers have been set up in Punjab which will be open on Sundays and they have ample supply of vaccines.
