ANKARA: Turkey has qualified for the 2012 World Cup with a big upset in the football qualifying round.
According to foreign media reports, the match of the qualifying round of the 2022 FIFA World Cup was played at the Ataturk Stadium in Istanbul between Turkey and the Netherlands, who have played the final of the World Cup three times.
Turkey desperately needed a victory in this match as they would have been knocked out of the World Cup in 2012 if they failed, but Turkish football captain and veteran striker Bork Yilmaz gave his side the lead in the 15th minute of the game. ۔
