ISLAMABAD: The number of broadband subscribers in Pakistan has reached 100 million.

According to a statement issued by the Pakistan Telecommunications Authority, the number of Internet users in Pakistan was less than 2 million in 2012 and after 3G, the number of users in 2014 rose to 16 million.

According to the PTA, 87% of the population currently has access to the Internet at the lowest rates.

PTA says that the download speed is 17.7 Mbps and the uploading speed is 11.3 Mbps.
