Karachi: The dollar fell below the psychological level of Rs 153 against the rupee in the interbank market.
According to the State Bank of Pakistan, the dollar depreciated by an average of 7 paise to 152.94 paise in the interbank market today.
Other currencies, including the British pound, Japanese yen and Saudi riyal, also depreciated against the rupee, but the euro gained an average of 24 paise.
According to the data released by the central bank, the price of one euro in the interbank market was Rs 181.78 while the British pound was sold at Rs 209.65, Japanese yen at Rs 1.39 and Saudi riyal at Rs 40.78.
