Lahore : The Trading Corporation of Pakistan (TCP) has opened a tender for the import of 50,000 tonnes of sugar.

According to TCP sources, after the cancellation of two tenders on expensive bids, bids were received at a lower rate. TCP received bids at a lower rate of 24 24 per tonne as compared to the last tender.

Sources said that TCP received a minimum bid of 5 520.20 per tonne. The landing cost at the port of imported sugar will be Rs 85-86 per kg.

According to sources in the Ministry of Commerce, the Gulf Group made the lowest bid for sugar imports. The TCP sent a summary of the received bid to the Ministry of Commerce.

According to sources, the Ministry of Commerce is reviewing the bids received by TCP. In the last tender, TCP received a minimum bid of 54 544.10 per tonne.

Sources said that a tender was issued by TCP for the import of 50,000 tonnes of sugar.
