WASHINGTON: According to foreign news agency, US officials have expressed fears that Russia will take full control of the Ukrainian capital by Sunday and overthrow the government.
According to media reports, thousands of Russian troops have laid siege to Kiev and bombed the Chernobyl nuclear power plant in Ukrainian capital after bombing various cities.
Ukraine, meanwhile, has confirmed that 137 civilians were killed and 150 wounded in Russian attacks.

Ukraine has also claimed to have shot down five Russian helicopters, killing 50 soldiers and capturing 80 others, according to reports.
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky says the international community has left him alone to fight Russia.
