The United States has sent warships to the Black Sea and Baltic regions in the wake of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
US President Joe Biden, while announcing new sanctions on Russia, said that NATO countries would be protected at all costs. The United States has also banned the Nord Stream Two gas pipeline from Russia to Germany.
The Pentagon says Russia’s recent military operation is a prelude to a broader occupation of Ukraine.
