Lahore: The Supreme Court has ruled that the re-election of the Punjab Chief Minister will take place on July 22

During the hearing, it came to light that the unanimous candidate of PTI for the post of Chief Minister Pervez Elahi and Hamza Shahbaz of PML-N have agreed to re-elect the Chief Minister of Punjab on July 22.

A hearing on the petition of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in the Supreme Court against the decision of the Lahore High Court on the issue of election of Punjab Chief Minister was held at the Lahore Registry of the Supreme Court.

A three-member bench of the Supreme Court comprising Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial, Justice Ijaz-ul-Ahsan and Justice Jamal Khan Mandokhel heard the petition.
