As soon as Eid-ul-Adha passed, the first mega Eid Milan party was held on a large scale in Vienna, the capital city of Austria. Austria is truly an international city. Irrespective of the historical background, its importance is very high. There are a large number of immigrants living here.
This fact is further highlighted when people of different nationalities celebrate their national events or festivals here. Eid-ul-Azha is a day of special importance for Muslims. By the way, on the occasion of Eid, Muslims from all over the world come together dressed in their traditional clothes, which brings peace and joy to the viewer. In this regard, to increase the joy of Eid under the management of Pakistan Community Forum Austria, an Eid Milan party was organized in Vienna, the capital of Austria, in Oberlao local park in the 10th district. On this occasion, political, social, religious, literary, students and business personalities of Pakistani and international community participated in full and shared the happiness of Eid together.
The community was attended by a large number of women and children, youth and elders from other European countries and distant cities of Austria, Sankt Pölten, Salzburg, Innsbruck, Linz, Graze, Horn and Krems. A large number of important personalities of the city, especially the legislature, print media, and electronic media were present. Acting Ambassador of Pakistan Adeel Ahmed Khan Afridi was the chief guest of the Eid Malan party. In his brief address, he said that he and the officials of the Pakistani embassy extend their heartfelt greetings to all the people on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Adha. On this occasion, he was convinced that by organizing such events for the Pakistani community living in Austria, the lack of people in Eid is reduced to a great extent.
He further said that on this occasion, remember our Kashmiri and Palestinian brothers and sisters and pray that Allah Almighty makes this world and our homeland a cradle of peace, Ameen. He further said that the doors of Pakistan Embassy are always open for our people and we prefer to work with you step by step. Pakistan Embassy Vienna, Pakistani Community Consul Shehzad Salim and heads of other community organizations arrived at the Eid Malin party with their office bearers welcomed the guest and presented a bouquet of flowers. The President of the emerging political party “SOZ” in Austria Hakan Gordo and the leader Mariam Furzam of Austria’s ruling party SPO ten district attended the program.
A large number of chairs, benches and tables were arranged by PCFA to provide better facilities for the guests on this occasion. Considering the heat, the guests were served drinks, jalebis, ice-creams and after the call to prayer, Hena stalls were set up exclusively for women, in which the PCFA women’s wing actively participated. It is impossible to have an Eid Milan party without something for the children, so special gifts were kept specially for the children. Special games were also arranged for the children. Looking at the Eid meeting party, it seemed as if there was happiness and a smile on every face, it seemed that we were celebrating the joy of Eid in our country Pakistan.

On this occasion, the president of the organization, Nadeem Khan, told the participants that the Pakistan Community Forum was established in Austria in 2016. The mission of the Pakistan Community Forum is to bridge the gap and bring each other closer. During this time, when there was a difficult time for our countrymen in Pakistan, our association gave full support. We have also shown our importance in achieving a better political system in Austria and when natural calamities occurred in Pakistan, we did what we could for our brothers and sisters. We have been playing an important role in solving the visa, passport and citizenship issues of Pakistanis living here.
Here I also want to appreciate our student wings and women wings who have always gone ahead and supported all Pakistanis across Austria. He further said that PCFA is moving forward by setting its goals. We want to keep the community together, find solutions to the problems they face but also provide better opportunities for newcomers to move forward. In the end, he congratulated everyone on Eid and assured them of all possible cooperation. On this occasion, the community members said that Austria is our second home. Since the feeling of distance from one’s friends is more intense on the occasion of Eid, getting the opportunity to celebrate the joys of Eid with friends is like a blessing. More people said that the Pakistanis living abroad are now feeling as if they are celebrating Eid in their own country. So, at the end the guests were treated to delicious food. This Eid Milan party of Pakistani Community Forum Austria ended with happiness and smiles on everyone’s faces.
