Islamabad : For the first time in Pakistan, calves have been born using embryo transfer technology.
Experts from Punjab Livestock Department obtained calves from successful embryo transfer.
In this regard, Secretary Livestock Saqib Zafar said that the success of embryo transfer technology for the protection of local breeds and improvement of production is welcome.
He said that the experts of Livestock Research Institute, Okara and Veterinary University, Lahore deserved congratulations, adding that this achievement would be a beacon for the Prime Minister’s Food Self-Sufficiency Program.
