Vienna : An annual festival and parade was held in Vienna, Austria to mark the 75th anniversary of the Philippine community. Thousands of people participated in the colorful regional costumes during the festival which enthralled the parade prticipants.
On this occasion, Austrian marching bands also performed their art.

During the parade, a large number of local Pakistanis and people from various parts of Austria participated and enjoyed watching the various regional costumes and dances of the Philippines. 12 performing troupes also participated in the parade and their exciting performances enthralled the audience.
In his address, President UNCAV Mr. Sharif Abdullah thanked the Filipinos and the international people for working together with each other for peace and love. The message is being given to the world.
The chief guest of the parade was the H E Ambassador of the Philippines to Austria (Irene Susan B. Natividad). while addressing the Festival, She said that “The Philippine community is doing many projects together with the international community in Austria and we are promoting love and tolerance with each other.”
“The message of the country of the Philippines has always been to establish love and peace in the world and to create a relationship of love and affection with each other. I thank all the visiting international community people who came to our event today and honored us. In times to come we will work together in the same way and spread the message of peace across the world”. She added.
On this occasion, the marching bands also played the music of the Philippine National Anthem and the Austrian National Anthem which was well received by the people.
