MuLatan: Punjab Chief Minister Usman Bazdar took notice of the case of wrong eye surgery of 16 people in Multan and ordered the health department to investigate the incident and take action against those responsible.
According to details, Punjab Chief Minister Usman Bazdar took notice of the incident in which 16 people lost their sight due to wrong eye surgery in a private hospital in Multan.
Usman Bazdar, while seeking a report from the Secretary Health and Commissioner Multan Division, directed the Health Department to investigate the incident and take action against those responsible.
Usman Bazdar said that the incident should be investigated impartially and a report should be submitted and those responsible should be identified and action should be taken as per law.
The Punjab Chief Minister said that the facts should be brought to light and special attention should be paid to the treatment of the visually impaired along with their dignity.
It may be recalled that in the last few days, 20 people underwent eye surgery at Laiq Rafiq, a private sector hospital in Laar area of Multan, using the facility of health card provided by the government. There was a kind of infection and one by one the other infected patients lost their sight.
