On the directions of SP City Operations Hassan Jahangir, Shahdara police performed a brilliant job and wiped out the 7-member Sharra Pathan Dacoit Gang.
The Sharra Pathan Dacoit Gang was considered a symbol of terror in the area. The gang consisted of 7 persons belonging to Kot Abdul Malik and Shahdara. The Sharra Pathan Dacoit Gang snatches valuables from people in the day-light and if anyone refused, they would be brutally tortured. The terror of this gang had spread so much and the people were not safe even during the day time.
When the Shahdara police station received applications for criminal activities of the gang, SP Operations Hassan Jahangir immediately decided to take action against the gang. SP Hassan Jahangir summoned DSP Shahdara Agha Nasir and SHO Shahdara Nasir Hameed to his office and directed them to arrest the gang immediately.
Led by SP Hassan Jahangir, DSP Shahdara Agha Nasir and SHO Shahdara Nasir Hameed formed a police team to nab the gang, which included Alam Langarial in-charge Investigation, Haji Mumtaz ASI and Constable Mazhar.
As per the instructions of SP Operations Hassan Jahangir, the team of Shahdara police station tightened the cordon around the Sharra Pathan Dacoit Gang and started monitoring every movement of the gang. The operation against the Sharra Pathan Dacoit Gang was being carried out in such secrecy that they did not even notice and continued their criminal activities.
Because SP Hassan Jahangir wanted to arrest the gang with red hands, he instructed his team to continue the intelligence process until the gang commits any crime and the police arrest them with red hands. Finally, the day came when the Sharra Pathan Dacoit Gang entered the Sagian area to commit the crime. They had no idea that the police were two steps ahead of them and that the police had already set a trap where they were going to carry out the operation.
The gang had just started the incident when the police who were already there raided the house. The gang resisted and started firing at the police but their team including DSP Shahdara Agha Nasir and SHO Nasir Hameed bravely confronted and arrested 3 criminals including the ringleader of the gang.
The three culprits were brought to Shahdara police station where they made surprising revelations. During the initial police investigation, they said that they have committed more than 67 incidents so far and has so far caused loss of millions of rupees to the people. Shahdara police also traced the other culprits of the gang and arrested them.
This was a great achievement of Shahdara Police under the leadership of SP Operations Hassan Jahangir. The entire team of police was awarded special prizes by the DIG.
Residents of the area told the RAZ TV team that they have breathed a sigh of relief after the demise of the gang and now the number of robberies and thefts has come down drastically.
Residents of the area said, “We pay tribute to these officers and hope that they will continue to perform their duties with utmost honesty.”
DSP Shahida Agha Nasir and SHO Shahdara Nasir Hameed are well-versed police officers and are working day and night to maintain law and order in the area. These officers also use traditional methods with the latest technology to prevent crime.
