Karachi: The dollar depreciated against the rupee in interbank and open markets.

The rupee strengthened against the dollar in both the foreign exchange markets on Wednesday on the back of Japan’s 37 370 million loan repayment and increased supply, pushing the dollar’s interbank rate below Rs 154 and the open rate below Rs 155.

In the interbank market, the dollar fell further by 61 paise to close at Rs 153.88 after fluctuating on Wednesday, while in the open currency market, the dollar fell by 70 paise to close at Rs 154.80.
