According to Express News, the FBR has released a tax exemption package for the industrial sector in FATA, which will include tax exemption on consumption, production and trade of industries.
The FBR has also issued a tax exemption circular, according to which the tax exemption package will be applicable to industrial units located in FATA and the commissioner will issue tax exemption certificates to inland revenue industries, through which the productivity of industries will increase. According to the FBR, monthly production and consumption data will be collected from FATA’s industries. This tax exemption will be applicable on withholding tax on imports of industrial goods.
