Taliban Banned Women Traveling on Planes

In Afghanistan, the Taliban have banned women from boarding ships without male guardians.

According to a foreign news agency, the Taliban refused to allow dozens of women to board the flights. Many of the women who were denied permission wanted to travel to Canada but were allowed to travel without male guardians.

Authorities told a foreign news agency on condition of anonymity that dozens of women boarding domestic and international flights at Kabul International Airport on Friday were barred from traveling without male guardians on Taliban orders.

The official said the women who were barred from traveling included several dual nationals who were barred from traveling on raw air and Ariana Air to Dubai, Islamabad and Turkey.
