Chandigarh: Volunteers of Yuvsatta (youth for peace), organizers of annual Global Youth Peace Fest of Chandigarh, at an international webinar, here at New Public School, launched the ‘Peoples Forum for Rise of South Asia-PFFROSA & Rising SOUTH ASIA TV- a Youtube channel with focus on promoting trade and travel among eight prominent South Asian countries of Afghanistan, Pakistan, Nepal, India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives and Sri Lanka.
The programme which was broadcasted live around the world on Youtube, started with prayers for peace and unity of South Asia, by spiritual heads of Sikhism, Islam, Christianity & Hindusim like Sant Baba Harpal Singh Ji, Head Sewadar of Gurdwara Isher Prakash Ratwara Sahib, Maulana Mohd Ajmal Khan, Shahi Imam, Jama Masjid, Father Reji of Don Bosco Navjeevan Society and Swami Atma Gyananand.

Prominent amongst those who participated in the Webinar included are Mr. Rajinder Rana, MLA, Himachal Pradesh, Ms. Raoman Smita, Advocate at Bangladesh Supreme Court, Dr. Chintamani Yogi, Founding Principal , Hindu VidyaPeeth – Nepal,

Mr. Rana Ali Zohaib, Senior Vice President at PFUC, Pakistan Federal Union of Columnists, Mr. Ali Fayez from Afghan People for Progressive Thinking, Mr. Ram Rohan Panta, President at Global Peace Foundation, Nepal, Mr. Peer Syed Mudassir Shah, a Podcaster at Peer Talks & President at Salook- a Sufi think tank in Pakistan, Mr. SP Seelan from International Youth Centre, Malaysia, S. Gurpreet Singh, President, S. Gurpreet Singh, President, Global Sikh Council (GSC), Ajatshatru of Play for Peace, Dr. Bhagat Singh Makkar, and professor Sh. Sanjay Sharma from Haridev Joshi University of Journalism and Mass Communication, Jaipur.

Pramod Sharma, founder of Yuvsatta, said that “we are going to sort of reimagine over five millennia of glorious history of South Asia which was the pivot of the universe in terms of economic growth, richness of culture and biodiversity. As you know incidentally, South Asia is also the world’s most populated area. It is not that the present bickering or differences between cultures and now identified as countries was not there earlier. Yet, this region went up to contributing 1/4th of world GDP, till the time Britishers took over from the Mughals in India. The only great thing then was that there was no bar on exchange of people and trade.“
Applauding the efforts of Yuvsatta-NGO and extending a support of Rupees One Lacs for strengthening PFFROSA Sant Baba Harpal Singh Ji, advised that the focus should be on Guru Nanak’s Message when he said that “God is neither Hindu nor Muslim”. He said that Guru Nanak began teaching the importance of the equality of all people, regardless of their caste, religion or gender. He taught that everyone is created by God’s will and therefore we must all be treated equally and with respect. And young people should follow his teaching for lasting peace, harmony and progress in the South Asian nations.
Sanjay Sharma added that in days to come they through PFFROSA & Rising South Asia TV will promote economic growth and increase collaboration and mutual assistance in economic, social, culture, technology and scientific fields.

In the end Sant Baba Harpal Singh ji presented ‘Global Peace Symbols’ made from soil & water from 23 nations of the world at an annual Global Youth Peace Fest to all prominent participants.
