Federal Minister and PML-Q leader Monis Elahi has said that during the meeting of Prime Minister Imran Khan with Pervez Elahi, resignation of Chief Minister Usman Bazdar has been accepted.
Monis Elahi said that the government has nominated Chaudhry Pervez Elahi as the Chief Minister and Pervez Elahi has accepted the offer of the Prime Minister to become the Chief Minister of Punjab.
It may be recalled that some time ago, Pervez Elahi had met Prime Minister Imran Khan in Bani Gala.
Later, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Political Media Shahbaz Gul claimed in his tweet that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) would support Chaudhry Pervez Elahi as its Chief Ministerial candidate.
Minister of State for Information Farrukh Habib also claimed that all issues were settled in the meeting of Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi with Prime Minister Imran Khan.
He said that Punjab Chief Minister Usman Bazdar had tendered his resignation to the Prime Minister and Prime Minister Imran Khan had nominated Chaudhry Pervez Elahi as the Chief Minister of Punjab.
He said that PML-Q has expressed confidence and support to the Prime Minister.
