Pakistan's Day Celebrated with Patriotic Zeal at the Embassy of Pakistan Vienna Austria

VIENNA: National Day of Pakistan Celebrated with Patriotic Zeal at the Embassy of Pakistan Vienna Austria. Ambassador of Pakistan, H.E. Aftab Ahmed Khokher, paid homage to the founding fathers of Pakistan and reaffirmed the resolve to make Pakistan a stronger and prosperous nation as he hoisted the Pakistani flag in a ceremony to mark Pakistan Day at the Embassy of Pakistan. Recitation of the Holy Quran was done by Qari Sadaqat Ali.

On the occasion, messages by President Asif Ali Zar Dari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif were also read out. They extended their congratulations to the nation, appreciated the vision and determination of our forefathers as the Pakistan Resolution of 23 March 1940 paved the way for the establishment of Pakistan on 14 August 1947 and reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to global peace and peaceful coexistence.

In his remarks, Ambassador Khokher also stressed that Pakistan would continue to extend political, moral and diplomatic support to the Kashmiri people in their struggle for the right of self-determination. He also reaffirmed Pakistan’s principled support for the people of Palestine and the establishment of an independent, viable, and contiguous state of Palestine, based on the pre-1967 borders with Al-Quds Al Sharif as its capital.

At the ceremony, recitation of the Holy Quran was done by Qari Sadaqat Ali. Members of the Pakistani community from various cities across Austria and Slovakia also participated enthusiastically, demonstrating their strong connection and commitment to their country.
