Lahore : The global epidemic of Corona continues to wreak havoc on the economy a year later.

Gallup Pakistan has released a new survey of more than 2,000 people on the impact of Corona on the economy, conducted between February 6 and February 26, 2021.

Last week, when asked about the impact of the Corona epidemic on working hours and income, 54% agreed that the epidemic would affect working hours and income, while 28% of 54% said it would affect income the most. ۔

According to the survey, 7% said working hours and 19% said both work schedule and income were affected. Forty-one percent said they were not financially affected by the Corona epidemic, while 5 percent did not answer the question.

The survey found that 26 percent of men said their incomes were affected by the Corona epidemic, 10 percent said working hours or schedules were affected, and 23 percent said both were affected.

According to a Gallup survey, 28% of women said their incomes were affected, while 3% said their work schedules were affected and 14% said they were affected by both.

Contrary to popular belief, 53% of the rural population surveyed said they were affected by the Corona epidemic due to work schedule, income or both, compared to 49% in urban areas.

On a province-by-province basis, 41 per cent of people from Balochistan said their incomes were affected due to Corona, 33 per cent from Punjab and 31 per cent from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while in Sindh it was only 13 per cent. Appeared

On the other hand, 18 per cent from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 6 per cent from Punjab, 5 per cent from Sindh and 4 per cent from Balochistan said that the work schedule was affected the most due to the epidemic.

Punjab was the worst affected by both work and income, with 26 per cent, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 15 per cent, Sindh 7 per cent and Balochistan 2 per cent.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 79 per cent of men and 50 per cent of women said the Corona epidemic had affected their income and work schedules. In Punjab, 71 per cent men and 58 per cent women, in Balochistan 60 per cent men and 39 per cent women complained that their income and work schedule was affected due to corona while in Sindh 34 per cent men and 15 per cent women complained that their income and work schedule was affected.
