LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz in her reply to the NAB’s request in the Chaudhry Sugar Mills case has said that the NAB cases and arrests are an attempt to silence the voice.

Maryam Nawaz has submitted her written reply to the NAB’s request in the Chaudhry Sugar Mills case, in which she has opposed the NAB’s request for cancellation of bail.

Maryam Nawaz has said that NAB has remained silent for 14 months in the Chaudhry Sugar Mills case. NAB’s cases and arrests are an attempt to suppress the voice. The Supreme Court should dismiss the NAB’s request with a fine.

It is to be noted that NAB has accused Maryam Nawaz of money laundering of Rs 2 billion in the Chaudhry Sugar Mills case. A two-member bench of the Lahore High Court had granted her bail on November 4, 2019.
