Lahore: In commemoration of a Great Punjabi poet ,teacher & scholar Professor Ali Arshad Mir having the shades of a new literary contract. Discussion sessions on Mir’s poetic diversity , modern literature & Punjabi literature were the highlights of the Mela.Mir Mela unarguably has been one of the prominent platforms to promote Punjabi Language , literature & culture for the last 15 years.
Sources confirmed that in order to own the annual works of Punjabi writers,the prestigious Mir Award distributed among different categories of literature. All Punjab Mushaira conducted & famous poets & poetesses i.e Raja Sadiq Ullah, Rai Nasir Khan,Sabir Ali Sabir, Dr.Sugrah Sadaf, Hakeem Arshad, Asim Padhiyar,Afzal Sahir,Naseer,Mushtaq Qamar etc were there to illuminate the Mela.
Sufi Night was a piece of delight where a well crafted Sufi dance by Nadeem Abbas was Appreciable. Bilal, an emerging singer warmth the night with an energetic performance.Last but not least Ghulam Abbas Khaga presented the Kafi of Mir Sahib to keep the shadow of love,peace & harmony alive for the coming generations.
