LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) has granted bail to PML-N President Shahbaz Sharif in a disproportionate assets case.

Shahbaz Sharif’s bail application was heard in the Lahore High Court in a case related to assets in excess of income.

During the hearing, NAB Prosecutor Syed Faisal Raza Bukhari said that Nusrat Shahbaz formed a company from TTs of which he became a director. The profit of this company was less than Rs 10 million. Hamza Shahbaz has assets of Rs 533 million. 23 TTs came on, as long as Hamza Shahbaz held public office, no TTs came.

NAB lawyer said that Shahbaz Sharif was the Chief Minister of Punjab from 2008 to 2018. Shahbaz Sharif became MNA in 2018. In 2018, Shahbaz Sharif had assets worth Rs7.3 billion. In 2009, Ramzan Sugar Mill became part of Shahbaz Sharif in property settlement. While Chaudhry Sugar Mill and others went to Nawaz Sharif and Abbas Sharif.

The NAB prosecutor said that we are not getting the details of assets worth Rs 7.32 billion, they have been living on rent in DHA before, an agreement was reached between these brothers for the distribution of family property, all of them in the family property. Factories, mills come to the section, their source of income of Rs 30 million per year is not known, income from agricultural production is more than Rs 13 million per year.
