ISLAMABAD: Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested journalist Mohsin Baig. According to sources, the FIA Cyber Crime Wing had raided the house of journalist Mohsin Baig.
A spokesman for the Islamabad Police said that the FIA team went to his house to arrest him. During the arrest, there was resistance with the FIA team and the accused opened fire. An official was injured.
The spokesman added that journalist has been transferred to the police station and further legal action is being taken.

Order to Present Mohsin Baig in court
On the other hand, Mohsin Baig’s lawyer Raheel Qureshi filed a petition in the Islamabad High Court against the illegal detention.

Raheel Qureshi further said that the SP ordered people dressed in plain clothes to raid the house, people dressed in plain clothes beat the children, smashed mobile phones and took away Mohsin Baig.
The petition was heard by Additional Sessions Judge Zafar Iqbal and the court appointed a bailiff and ordered to present Journalist in the court.
Case in FIA
A case has been registered in the FIA against Mohsin Baig for using immoral language against Murad Saeed in a private program.
According to details, a case was also registered against Mohsin Baig in FIA. The case was registered in FIA on the complaint of Federal Minister Murad Saeed.
The FIA said that a case was registered against Mohsin Baig in Cyber Crime Wing Lahore. Mohsin Baig used immoral language against Murad Saeed in a private program.
According to the lawsuit, baseless stories, insulting remarks were made in a private TV program and a program related to insulting remarks was also shared on social media.
It was said in the FIR that an attempt was made to tarnish the image of Murad Saeed among the people by sharing the program. However, PICA and other cyber crime acts were included in the registered FIR.
Earlier, the police had registered a case against Mohsin Baig at Margalla police station.
Section 7 of the Terrorism Act was also applied in the case, including attempted murder and incarceration.
It may be recalled that the government had lodged a complaint with the FIA against the Prime Minister Imran Khan and the Federal Minister for having immoral talks on TV shows.
