Peshawar : The audit report of the Peshawar Institute of Kidney Diseases from 2018 to 2020 has revealed irregularities of more than Rs 1.80 billion.

According to records, Dr. Nasir Orakzai was the director of the hospital at the time and during this time illegal recruitments against merit were also revealed in the hospital.

According to the report of Director General Audit Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, out of the expenditure of Rs. 35.1 million, Rs. 7 million bills are missing.

An amount of Rs. 16.9 million was illegally withdrawn for staff without the approval of the provincial government.

According to the report, the administration caused a loss of Rs 78.5 million to the national exchequer in various purchases.

The auditor has also recommended scrutiny of loss recovery and other purchase records.
