LAHORE: A record number of deaths due to corona virus were reported in Punjab in a single day and 88 people lost their lives while more than 2200 cases were reported.

According to details, Corona is taking a terrible turn in Punjab, the latest figures have been released by the Punjab Health Department.

The Punjab Health Department said that 88 people died of corona virus in one day in the province, out of which 42 were from Lahore.

The spokesperson said that 2221 new cases of corona virus were detected in Punjab during 24 hours, out of which 1172 cases were reported in Lahore.

According to the statistics, 7 cases were reported in Nankana, 15 in Kasur, 28 in Sheikhupura, 227 in Rawalpindi, 6 in Jhelum, 2 in Chakwal, 8 in Attock, 8 in Muzaffargarh, 4 in Hafizabad and 76 in Gujranwala.

The Punjab Health Department said that 35 in Sialkot, 9 in Narowal, 36 in Gujarat, 7 in Mandi Bahauddin, 108 in Multan, 5 in Khanewal, 2 in Rajanpur, 4 in Layyah, 9 in Dera Ghazi Khan and 7 in Vehari. Cases were reported.

Similarly, 98 cases in Faisalabad, 45 in Chiniot, 20 in Toba Tek Singh, 49 in Jhang and 40 in Rahim Yar Khan, 59 in Sargodha, 8 in Mianwali, 3 in Khushab, 12 in Bahawalnagar, 45 in Bahawalpur and 45 in Lodhran. 10, 2 in Bhakkar, 24 in Sahiwal, 19 in Pakpattan and 12 in Okara.
