The Human Rights Council of Pakistan (HRC-Pakistan) hosted a distinguished ceremony celebrating individuals dedicated to advancing peace and human rights. The event’s highlight was the conferral of the “Peace Ambassador of the Year 2025” award upon His Excellency Faisal Butt, Ambassador at Large of the Republic of Liberland to Pakistan and Nepal.
The ceremony gathered a diverse assembly of human rights activists, diplomats, political figures, and key student leaders, underscoring a shared commitment to fostering dialogue and understanding. The award was presented by HRC-Pakistan’s leadership, Chairman Mr. Jamshed Hussain, Founder and President Mashal Mr. Ch. Mohammad Ali, and President HRC-Pakistan Twin Cities, Mr. Murad Ali.
In his address, Chairman Jamshed Hussain commended Ambassador Butt’s efforts, stating, “In a world often divided, Ambassador Faisal Butt stands as a bridge-builder. His dedicated work in strengthening diplomatic and people-to-people ties exemplifies the very essence of peacebuilding. This award is not just a recognition of his personal commitment but also an affirmation of the positive role that innovative diplomacy can play in promoting human dignity and mutual respect between nations.”
Upon receiving the honor, H.E. Faisal Butt expressed his gratitude and reaffirmed his mission. “I am deeply humbled and honored to accept this prestigious award from the Human Rights Council of Pakistan. This recognition is a powerful encouragement to continue the work of fostering peace, dialogue, and cooperation. Liberland’s core principles of liberty, transparency, and voluntaryism align closely with the universal pursuit of human rights.
