New Delhi: (ANI) Farmers across India have closed down roads and trains in several areas in protest against controversial agricultural laws. Markets, shopping malls and shops were locked, with farmers saying their protest was completely peaceful.

The strike is from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Farmer leader Darshan Pal says his nationwide protest is peaceful.

Farmers have the support of trade unions and trade unions. The legal community, students and the opposition also stand by the farmers.

Leaving home, millions of farmers are present at Ghazipur, Sanghu and Tukri Baird around Delhi. The protesters have vowed to persevere until their demands are met. Indian farmers have been on the streets since November 26 to repeal three controversial laws.
