PESHAWAR: In view of increasing cases of corona in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the decision to implement complete lockdown in high risk districts has been withdrawn.
The decision to impose lockdown in major cities of the country, including 8 districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has been withdrawn a day later. Preparations for lockdown in Corona High Risk districts were completed and in this regard, on May 27, NC The OC also issued a statement but it has now been withdrawn.
It is to be noted that the eight districts in which lockdown was announced yesterday to check the spread of Corona in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa include Peshawar, Lower Dir, Mardan, Nowshera, Malakand, Charsadda and Swabi while Mardan already Lockdown has been applied. The NCOC had prepared the recommendations for the lockdown. The lockdown was likely to take effect from May 2, but the final decision was to be taken at a meeting chaired by the Prime Minister.
