ISLAMABAD: Actress Veena Malik’s ex-husband Asad Khattak has said that Veena Malik transferred her two children to Pakistan with the connivance of Foreign Ministry officials.
Actress Veena Malik’s ex-husband Asad Khattak’s petition against the transfer of her and Veena Malik’s two children to Pakistan was heard. Chief Justice Athar Minallah heard the petition of Asad Khattak.
Asad Khattak said in the petition that despite the order of the Dubai court, Veena Malik transferred the children to Pakistan. Veena Malik transferred the children to Pakistan with the connivance of the Foreign Ministry officials. My children also have American citizenship.
On the other hand, the Foreign Ministry termed Asad Khattak’s request as untrue and requested the court to dismiss Asad Khattak’s request.
The Foreign Ministry, while submitting a reply to Asad Khattak’s petition in the court, said that Asad Khattak had filed the petition with controversial material covering the facts. Veena Malik provided a copy of NADRA’s Nikop to the Pakistan High Commission in Dubai. He also provided the children’s guardianship certificate issued by the Rawalpindi court. According to Pakistani laws, the children were issued passports. The Pakistan High Commission issued emergency travel documents on submission of passports.
The court ordered to provide a copy of the Foreign Ministry’s reply to Asad Khattak and adjourned the case till April 20.
