ISLAMABAD: The severity of corona epidemic in the country has remained high and the total number of active cases of the disease has crossed 75,000.
According to the data released by the National Command and Operations, 44,514 tests for Corona were conducted across the country in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of tests performed to diagnose Covid 19 in the country so far to 17 million. It has exceeded 79 lakh.
Within 24 hours, 4584 more people across the country were confirmed to have corona virus while 3135 patients across the country recovered from corona.
According to official data, the rate of corona positive cases in the last 24 hours has been 10.29%, bringing the total number of people infected with corona in the country to 725,602. Out of which 634,835 people have recovered from Corona.
So far in Sindh 269,126, Punjab 250,459, Islamabad 66,380, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 99,595, Sindh 269,126, Balochistan 20,321, Azad Kashmir 14,594 and Gilgit Corona has been confirmed in 5,127 people in Baltistan.
According to the NCOC, 58 more people died in the country due to the epidemic, bringing the death toll from Corona in the country to 15,501. The highest number of deaths due to corona was in Punjab where 6,988 people lost their lives, 4,530 in Sindh, 2,651 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 611 in Islamabad, 103 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 215 in Balochistan and Azad Kashmir. 403 people have died due to this epidemic.
The number of active cases of corona in the country is gradually increasing and now this number has once again reached 75,266. Of these, 4,201 are in critical condition. There are currently 512 Corona patients on ventilators across the country. At present, 85 per cent of patients in Gujranwala, 81 per cent in Multan, 79 per cent in Lahore and 55 per cent in Islamabad are on corona. In addition, 85% of Gujranwala, 73% of Peshawar, 71% of Gujarat and 66% of Swat have corona patients on oxygen beds.
