Lahore: The Consulate of Liberland Pakistan hosted a grand Iftar dinner in Lahore to mark the holy month of Ramadan. The event was presided over by Faisal Butt, Ambassador at Large of Liberland to Pakistan and Nepal.
The dinner saw a large turnout of scholars, intellectuals, social figures, and city dignitaries. Attendees included Press Secretary Rana Ali Zohaib, First Secretary Mohammad Ali Butt, PRO Shoaib Khan, Dr Aurangzeb Siddiqui , Dr Maqsood Ellahi, Ali Sharief , Barrister Salman, Advocate Aimen Mufti, Choudhry Shafiq consulate staff, SSP Khalid Mehmood Afzal, Special Advisor to the Prime Minister Tauseef Shah, Fida Muhammad Fida from Ferozewala Press Club, Tanveer Jutt, Asif Bhatti, Hafiz Khalid bin Waleed, Ilyas Gujjar, Inspector Javed Hasnain Qureshi, Sheikh Rizwan, Human Rights Council of Pakistan Chairman Jamshid Hussain, Chaudhry Muhammad Ali (President & Founder, Mishaal), Chaudhry Mehdi, Mustafa Bhatti, Dr. Munawar, Farrukh Jameel, Zaheer Babar, and Musab bin Jameel, along with numerous others from various schools of thought.
Addressing the gathering, Ambassador at Large Faisal Butt highlighted the spiritual significance of Ramadan. He stated that the month is one of patience, tolerance, and sacrifice, providing a practical lesson in unity and solidarity for the Muslim Ummah. “This blessed month teaches us to stand united, transcending differences of color, race, and sect,” he remarked.
He further emphasized that unity is the only solution to the challenges facing the Muslim world today. “We must unite to combat issues like extremism and sectarianism,” he added.
Other speakers at the event described Ramadan as a month of mercy, forgiveness, and salvation from hellfire. They noted its first ten days are for mercy, the second for forgiveness, and the third for salvation. They stressed that this month, during which the Holy Quran was revealed, guides us towards unity, brotherhood, and mutual respect.
At the conclusion of the event, Ambassador at Large Faisal Butt thanked all the guests for their participation.
