LAHORE: Constable Kamal Ahmed was shot dead from the roof of a house during a raid in Model Town.
According to DIG Operations Sohail Chaudhry, the police raided the house in connection with the ongoing crackdown in the city, during which a firing took place from the roof of the house, injuring Constable Kamal Ahmed.

The injured constable was rushed to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Police arrested Sajid, the owner of the house, and his son Mukarram on charges of firing and recovered weapons.
On the other hand, Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shahbaz has demanded a report of the incident from the IG police and directed immediate arrest of the accused.
In addition, a case of firing from the roof of a house during a police raid in Model Town and martyrdom of a police officer as a result has been registered.
According to the FIR, the police raided the Tenancy Act. During the raid, someone opened fire from the roof of the house of a man named Sajid.
