ISLAMABAD: A court has remanded Usman Mirza and other accused in a boy-girl violence case for another four days.
The District and Sessions Court in Islamabad heard a case of torturing a boy and a girl naked in E-11 area.
After the two-day physical remand of the main accused Usman Mirza and other accused was completed, the police produced them in the court of Judicial Magistrate Waqar Gondal.
Police requested for further physical remand of the accused and said that the mobile phones used in the incident were to be recovered from the possession of the accused. Meanwhile, the counsel for the accused opposed the physical remand and requested the court to conduct a judicial hearing.
The court granted four-day physical remand to three accused, including Usman Mirza, and handed them over to police for another four days. The Judicial Magistrate directed the police to complete the investigation during the four-day physical remand.
It should be noted that the video of the torture of the accused went viral on which the police arrested them. So far, four suspects have been arrested in the incident. Prime Minister Imran Khan also took notice of the incident yesterday. Investigating officer Shafqat Mahmood appeared before the court with the record. The accused’s lawyer said that his client is a property dealer and the incident is six months old.
