The Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) very strongly and in unequivocal words condemns the gruesome killing of innocent tourists yesterday at a well-known tourist place of Pahalgam in Indian held Kashmir. The attack, according to reports, took the lives of 28 innocent tourists and injuring about 40 others.
The JKLF chief spokesman, Muhammad Rafiq Dar, in a statement issued from the party’s central information office termed the attack as a terrorist attack against humanity. This massacre at the highly secured tourist place of Pahalgam in Kashmir, like in the past, can be the handiwork of the Indian security force, the spokesman informed.
The spokesman said that the attack has similarities with Chattisingpora massacre of 36 persons from the minority Sikh community of the State in 2000 during US President Bill Clinton’s visit to India. This attack was later exposed as the handiwork of Indian forces in the disguise of Kashmiri Muslims, he added.
He said that the yesterday’s attack at a well-known tourist place of Pahalgam in Kashmir was executed now at a time when US Vice President J D Vance is in India on a 4 day visit.
The JKLF spokesman said that India by sponsoring such terrorist attacks in Jammu Kashmir actually wanted to malign the just freedom movement of people of Jammu Kashmir.
According to the statement, the JKLF leadership has expressed their heartfelt sympathies to the families and survivors of the deceased and termed the helping role of local Kashmiri people living in the area as commendable.
