Karachi : National airline PIA has announced its financial results for the year 2020.
According to a PIA spokesperson, in the financial year 2020, PIA achieved a gross profit of Rs 2.4 billion and the airline’s operational loss fell from Rs 6.1 billion to Rs 680 crore.
The spokesperson said that after 11 years, the operational deficit of PIA has come down below the psychological threshold of billions of rupees. The overall deficit of PIA has also come down by 33.7%.
The spokesman said that due to Corona, airlines around the world were suffering huge losses but despite Corona and European sanctions, the results of PIA were very encouraging.
